St. Petersburg, the Early Days
This is the first of Struan Hamilton's adventures in Russia, which began back in 1996. Many fine experiences and early recollections of the work of the congregations in Russia, spreading the Kingdom Good News. Laughs aplenty, tears too, of joy, and many memorable, poignant moments.
Happy Tikhvin Days
After a two year 'internship' in the Russian language, Struan moved to this city and with friends had the mighty privilege of setting up a congregation from scratch. Many riveting experiences and upbuilding things happened which made these very happy and fulfilling days indeed.
Stepanopel
This is the third in the series 'Letter From Russia' wherein Struan Hamilton moves over 1,000 km to central Russia to serve in a city of over one and a quarter million people with only five congregations.
Stepanopel
Mungle Along the Volga
This is the fourth volume in the 'Letter From Russia' series, in which Struan Hamilton continues his pioneering in central Russia, travelling hundreds of thousands of kilometres in the Stepanopel province.
Blessages
In this fifth volume of Struan's 'Letter from Russia' series, he moves deeper into Russia and encounters many upbuilding and moving experiences.
Blagodarnost
Struan's sixth book in the 'Letter from Russia' series takes us to new parts of Russia and more fine experiences as the congregations grow, mature and bring joy to one and all.
Look Back in Astonishment
This volume contains a mix of experiences and impressions in three lands where Struan Hamilton served, and has some of the most moving and uplifting real stories. A fitting conclusion to his life and times in that part of the world.
Hoy's History
If you are blessed with the surname Hoy then this book is for you.
It traces my Hoy family tree from the 16th century till today. There are titled people, and a few scandals and skeletons in the cupboard too. Sadness and tragedy also weave into the narrative. Even if your surname is not Hoy there is something for you here.
In a slightly whimsical way and with a good smattering of Scotland's social history, the book will inform, amuse and most of all I hope, inspire readers to take their own journey into their past family history. Deafness plays a part in Hoy's history and Napoleon Bonaparte too plays a major role - without him I simply would not have existed and you, dear reader, would not now be reading this.
